GCash announces the launch of GMindset Bootcamps, aimed at improving student finances.

GCash, a leading mobile wallet service in the Philippines, is set to embark on a financial literacy boot camp series aimed at empowering young Filipinos with the knowledge and confidence to save and invest wisely.

John Garcia, Head of Customer Success for Wealth Management at GCash, discussed the program's goal, stating that the series aims to make financial literacy more engaging and accessible for students. The series, titled "The GMindset: Gear Up Your Financial Game," will visit several universities across the country.

The boot camp series has confirmed partnerships with ten universities in the Philippines, including PUP, FEU, ADU, UP, ADMU, and CEU. The first two bootcamps, held at PUP and FEU, attracted nearly five hundred students each.

The series will kick off on September 9 at Adamson University, followed by the University of the Philippines Clark on September 19, Ateneo de Manila University on September 20, and Centro Escolar University Manila on September 24.

During the on-site activities, students will receive assistance with registering for GCash services like GSave and GInvest. The bootcamp sessions will cover topics such as financial goal-setting, savings, and investment psychology.

GCash has not disclosed which additional universities will be part of the series in the future. However, the company has announced that more dates for the series will be announced soon.

Through this initiative, GCash hopes to equip students with the knowledge for long-term saving and investing habits, helping them build a strong financial foundation for their future. The boot camp series is just one of the many ways GCash is working towards financial inclusion in the Philippines.
