Geely Galaxy Unveils Affordable Mid-to-Large Sedan A7

Geely Galaxy has entered the plug-in hybrid sedan market with the introduction of the A7, an affordable mid-to-large-sized sedan. Pre-sales of the A7 began on July 11, priced at RMB 97,800.

The A7, based on Geely's GEA architecture, comes with two battery pack options: an 8.5 kWh battery from CALB and an 18.4 kWh battery from CALT. With the smaller battery, the vehicle offers a battery range of 70 km, while the larger one extends the range to 150 km.

The official presentation of the Geely Galaxy A7 hybrid model is scheduled for September 19, 2025. The A7 will compete with the BYD Qin L DM-i and Seal 06 DM-i plug-in hybrid sedans.

Geely Galaxy has announced two new, more affordable variants for the A7, priced at RMB 97,800 and RMB 113,800. These variants come equipped with a basic driver assistance system, while all previously announced variants feature the more advanced G-Pilot smart driving system.

G-Pilot, unveiled by Geely on March 3, comprises five smart driving solutions. The A7 comes with the G-Pilot H3 assisted driving solution.

With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, the vehicle's combined range reaches up to 2,100 kilometers. The A7 has a wheelbase of 2,845 mm, a length of 4,918 mm, a width of 1,905 mm, and a height of 1,495 mm.

Monthly sales of the Geely Galaxy A7 are expected to exceed 10,000 units. The A7 is one of the new models launched by Geely Galaxy this year.

On July 18, Geely Galaxy announced the launch of the A7 hybrid sedan, which is set to take place on August 8. A research note by Deutsche Bank analyst Wang Bin's team on July 15 estimated that the A7's final official starting price will be around RMB 90,000.

The A7 is a significant addition to Geely's lineup, offering an affordable plug-in hybrid option in the Chinese market. With its competitive pricing, advanced features, and impressive range, the A7 is poised to make a strong impact in the market.
