Georgia intends to update its lottery retail sales with assistance from Scientific Games.

The Georgia Lottery Corporation is set to launch Scientific Games' SCiQ retail ecosystem, marking a significant step in modernizing the sale and management of lottery scratch games.

John Schulz, President of Scientific Games' Americas, praised the Georgia Lottery for its forward-thinking approach, stating that they have always been a forward-thinking partner. Gretchen Corbin, the Georgia Lottery's president and CEO, echoed this sentiment, highlighting that the technology aligns with how today's consumers shop.

The rollout of SCiQ is part of the Georgia Lottery's initiative to modernize its instant games. The technology aims to streamline the purchasing experience for players, while also helping retailers operate more efficiently.

Tamara Bryant, who is leading the SCiQ Retail Ecosystem rollout for the Georgia Lottery, explained that the technology will bring a modern retail presence to the Georgia Lottery's instant games. The partnership between the Georgia Lottery and Scientific Games, which began at the lottery's inception in 1993, has already seen the launch of the first scratch game, first second-chance promotion, and soon the first loyalty program.

The rollout of SCiQ will be implemented across 1,500 locations statewide. The Georgia Lottery's goal remains unchanged: to maximize revenues for the HOPE Scholarship and Georgia Pre-K program. This move is another step towards ensuring future growth for the instant game business.

John Schulz also commented on the Georgia Lottery's SCiQ rollout, stating that it is a milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two entities. He added that the partnership aims to sustain future funding for Georgia's students.

Scientific Games, based in metro Atlanta, is excited to be a part of this modernization effort. The Georgia Lottery's partnership with Scientific Games continues to reflect its commitment to providing innovative and engaging gaming experiences for its players, all while supporting education in the state.
