German language beginner's course commences in Schweina on September 25, led by Thomas Nicolai.

On the 6th of September, 2025, Gasthaus zur Sonne in Bad Liebenstein/Schweina will play host to a unique and entertaining event as part of the Comedy House on Tour. German comedian Thomas Nicolai will be performing his show "Saxon for Beginners", promising an intelligent, original, and hilarious evening.

In this show, Nicolai will present an original Saxon dubbed version of the classic film "Casablanca". He will also share amusing stories about famous Saxon encounters, as experienced by Kurt Tucholsky and Otto Reutter. The audience can expect an entertaining and practical insight into the Saxon dialect, with topics ranging from the basics to advanced courses, food and drink, sweet nothings, thunderstorms, Saxon trivia, and more.

Nicolai will also delight the audience with witty translations into High German and even some Saxon poetry. The show, which starts at 7:30 PM, will be a celebration of the Saxon dialect and its rich history.

The regular price for a ticket is 20 Euro, and a reduced price of 16 Euro is available for certain groups. Unfortunately, ticket reservations by phone are not possible.
