Gigantic 96-meter barrier constructed in Vladivostok
In the heart of Vladivostok, a significant construction project is underway. The extensive retaining wall on Chernyakhovsky Street, at number 13, is currently being built by ООО "ДальСтройМонтаж". This monolithic structure, spanning over 160 meters in length and reaching up to 6 meters in height, is a notable addition to the city's urban landscape.
This isn't the first time a retaining wall has made headlines in Vladivostok. In late July, a retaining wall near house 8d on Sukhanova Street was put in order, a project carried out by the company "Artelstroy". The wall on Sukhanova Street, which was 111 meters long, underwent restoration work under a municipal contract.
Prior to the Chernyakhovsky Street project, another retaining wall at Aliluya Street, 6, had also garnered attention. However, it seems that no new retaining wall projects have been initiated after the one on Chernyakhovsky Street, 13.
The construction of these retaining walls serves a crucial purpose in maintaining the stability and safety of the city's infrastructure, particularly in areas with steep gradients. As these projects continue, Vladivostok's urban landscape is set to undergo further transformations.
