In an exciting match-up between two of the region's top girls high school soccer teams, Simon Kenton emerged victorious against Notre Dame with a score of 2-0. The Pioneers, coached by Hillary Johnson, maintained their undefeated record at 10-0-1, while Notre Dame's record stands at 4-3-2.

The game started with a bang as senior striker Meg Gadzala scored less than four minutes into the match, following a cross from her teammate. This early goal set the tone for the rest of the game, with Simon Kenton's defensive effort playing a crucial role in preserving the lead. Freshman goalkeeper Makenna Doherty, who had a shutout in the game, was instrumental in this defensive effort.

As the game progressed, Notre Dame continued to mount attacks, particularly in the second half.
