The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has announced the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship for the year 2025, aiming to support students from economically weaker sections of society. This scholarship is open for students pursuing higher education, technical and vocational courses, and diploma courses.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is designed for students who have excelled academically. For the General Scholarship, students must have passed Class XII/ Diploma with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA in the academic years 2022-23, 2023-24, or 2024-25. Additionally, their parents'/guardian's annual income should not exceed ₹4,50,000.

For the Special Scholarship for Girls, female candidates must have passed Class X (or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% marks / CGPA in the same academic years, and their parents'/guardian's annual income must not exceed ₹4,50,000.

Participating Institutions

The scholarship is offered for students studying in Government/ Private colleges/ universities. For vocational training, only Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centres (ITCs) accredited by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) are eligible to participate.

Scholarship Categories

The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship has two categories: General Scholarship and Special Scholarship for Girls. The General Scholarship is provided for the entire duration of the course, excluding internship or stipendiary period. The amount for this scholarship varies from course to course but ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 per annum.

The Special Scholarship for Girls is a two-year scholarship, and the amount is ₹15,000 per annum, paid in two installments of ₹7,500 each.
