In an exciting turn of events, Austrian artist Johannes JJ Pietsch and Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) winner Conchita Wurst have teamed up for a powerful duet. The mash-up of their songs, "Wasted Love / Rise Like a Phoenix," has been making waves on TikTok, and fans are praising the collaboration as a masterpiece.

JJ, who is currently leading in the fan vote for the ESC, expressed his delight about the collaboration, stating that he had goosebumps and they had a real blast. Conchita Wurst, the 2014 ESC winner, called working with JJ a true privilege.

The unique musical encounter was filmed in the Eroica Hall of the Palais Lobkowitz in Vienna Museum of Theatre. Fans can expect goosebumps-worthy performances from both artists, as the mash-up is guaranteed to give listeners a thrill.

As JJ's European tour concludes with the final in Madrid on 19 April, he has been assigned starting number 6 for a crucial qualifier in Basel on 15 May. The duet with Conchita Wurst will be a highlight of his performances during the ESC.

The duet partners will take the stage on the night of the contest, with Conchita Wurst reclaiming her starting number 6, which led to her ESC victory in 2014. After the final, JJ will perform at Dancing Stars with the ESC anthem "Wasted Love" on 25 April.

JJ's current anthem, "Wasted Love," is considered one of the favourites to win the current Song Contest. Austria, however, has yet to win the competition, but JJ's strong showing in the fan vote and the powerful duet with Conchita Wurst could change that.

In addition to the musical collaboration, JJ invited his fans to visit the extended Johann Strauss exhibition, "Johann Strauss - Die Ausstellung," which runs until August 17th. The meeting included a "walk through" of the current Johann Strauss exhibition with Franz Pichorner, the museum's director.

Sweden currently holds a 1% lead over JJ in the Song Contest, but with the release of the duet and JJ's impressive vocal talent on display, the competition is heating up. JJ demonstrated his vocal prowess by singing Johann Strauss' "Draußen in Sievering" at a recent performance.

As the ESC approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the duet between JJ and Conchita Wurst. With their combined talent and the power of their collaboration, the duet is sure to be a highlight of the contest.
