The city of Bergisch Gladbach is gearing up for an exciting celebration of culture, knowledge, and community with the upcoming Culture Weeks for Senior Citizens and Those Who Want to Become One. Taking place from 30 August to 14 September 2025, the event is hosted by the Senior Council of Bergisch Gladbach.

During these two weeks, a variety of events catering to different interests will be held. From educational sessions on topics like Power of Attorney in Guardianship Law, Protecting Yourself from Everyday Fraud, and Care-dependent - Now What?, to social gatherings such as speed dating for 60+ and the Senior Stammtisch, there's something for everyone.

The Senior Stammtisch, taking place on the first Wednesday of every month, offers an opportunity to exchange ideas with members of the Senior Council. This month, it will take place at Gasthaus am Bock on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, at 11:30 AM. Admission to the Senior Stammtisch is free and no registration is required. The topics for discussion include heat, loneliness, housing, mobility, and more.

For those who enjoy dancing, the Dance Café, held at Gasthaus Paas on Sundays, 7 and 21 September 2025, from 3 to 5 PM, is not to be missed. This is a place to dance, chat, drink, and enjoy delicious cake. It's also a place to make new friends or even find love.

In addition to these events, the Bergisches Museum for Mining, Crafts, and Trade will host a special event, "Curious about the Wonder World of Honeybees?" on 31 August 2025 from 2 to 4 PM.
