Greetings to the newly appointed officers - Welcome aboard at Dortmund Police!

On September 1, 2025, Dortmund Police President Gregor Lange welcomed 172 new officers at the Regional Training Center. These new recruits will oversee over 500 kilometers of highways within the jurisdiction of the Dortmund Police Presidium.

The new colleagues will immediately reinforce the locations in Dortmund and Lünen, responsible for the safety of nearly 700,000 people. Among the new recruits, 49 officers were transferred from other authorities, and 8 government inspectors joined the force.

115 of the new officers were appointed as Police Commissioners by Gregor Lange on August 29, 2025. The new police commissioners and other participants took an oath of office during the ceremonial welcome.
