Greifswald's Intercultural Week: Celebrating Diversity with 40+ Events

Greifswald is set to host a vibrant Intercultural Week from September 19 to October 20, 2025, with over 40 events celebrating diversity and global cultures. The festival kicks off with a festive opening at the IGS Erwin Fischer on September 19 at 3:30 PM. A creative workshop, 'Journey into the Georgian Alphabet', will be held during the opening event, reflecting this year's focus on Georgian culture. The Georgian Cultural Association SakARTvelo Berlin will also be presenting performances throughout the week. The film enthusiasts can enjoy 'No Country for Nobody' at CineStar on September 24. The following day, 'Welcome to Vorpommern - Restart Needs a Push' will have its premiere at Kiek In. Theater lovers are invited to two performances by the Jewish community of Rostock at St. Spiritus on September 21. Many events will take place in the Schönwalde I/Südstadt and Schönwalde neighborhoods, bringing the community together. The week will also include an 'Intercultural Football Tournament' at the Dubnaring sports field. With a wide range of events, Greifswald's Intercultural Week promises to be an exciting celebration of global cultures.
