GTIA demonstrates a higher level of professionalism

The Global Leadership Committee (GLC) was launched at the end of July 2025 during the ChannelCon event in Nashville, Tennessee. This new body, established by the non-profit organisation GTIA, aims to foster global collaboration between the six GTIA regions: DACH, BeNeLux, UK & Ireland, Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand, and North America.

The GLC is composed of representatives from each region, including Otto Schobert and René Claus who represent the DACH region. Similarly, the BeNeLux region is represented by Dr. Eva Janssen from Belgium and Mr. Thomas De Vries from the Netherlands.

The GLC has individuals responsible for central areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Channel Development, Data, IoT, the SaaS ecosystem, and Human Resources. This structure ensures that the committee is well-equipped to tackle various challenges and opportunities in the tech industry.

Since its inception, the GLC has organised several meetings to facilitate exchange among members and provide real added value. The first GTIA DACH Community Meeting took place in November 2023, followed by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th meetings in March 2024, October 2024, May 2025, and most recently, during the GLC meeting in Nashville at the end of July 2025.

René Claus, a representative of the DACH region in the GLC, emphasises the importance of catering to regional differences in order to act effectively. Otto Schobert, another representative, finds the closer collaboration among the individual GTIA communities beneficial, as it strengthens mutual trust and accelerates the implementation of innovative ideas.

MJ Shoer, the Chief Community Officer at GTIA, leads the GLC. Under her leadership, the GLC aims to provide bonus programs and additional IT resources to its members, further enhancing the value it offers.

The establishment of the GLC marks a significant step forward for the GTIA organisation, which underwent a reformation at the beginning of 2025. This reformation is expected to strengthen the organisation's ability to respond to the evolving needs of the tech industry and its members.
