Halifax Green Living Reward Encourages Energy-Efficient Home Improvements
The Halifax Green Living Reward is a financial incentive designed to encourage homeowners to adopt energy-efficient systems. This reward is available exclusively to Halifax mortgage customers.
To qualify, homeowners must have a Halifax or Bank of Scotland current account at the time of the claim. The cashback reward can be claimed once per installation, but multiple rewards may be possible if the claimant has multiple mortgages or recently switched to a new deal.
Halifax offers various cashback rewards for energy-efficient home improvements. For instance, customers can receive £500 cashback on solar panel packages, biomass boilers, solar thermal heating, and insulation. Additionally, customers can receive up to £1,000 cashback for installing solar panels or solar batteries, and up to £2,000 cashback for installing air source heat pumps.
Octopus Energy offers a £100 energy bill credit for heat pump installations under the Halifax Green Living Reward. Effective Home also provides a £500 discount on solar panel packages under the same reward.
To receive the cashback, customers must install the relevant systems within one year of finalising their Halifax mortgage. Once the installation is complete, they can submit an invoice through the Green Living journey, a platform provided by Halifax for managing and submitting claims for the Green Living Reward. After submitting the invoice, Halifax aims to credit the account within 72 hours.
It is important to note that the Green Living Reward does not provide any information about the Homebuilding & Renovating Newsletter or tickets to Homebuilding & Renovating Shows. Furthermore, the Green Living Reward does not specify a limitation on the number of eligible home improvements that can be made to qualify for the reward. However, the cashback reward is not repeated for the same installation.
