Halkin Mainframe in London receives dual conferencing solution from Ashton Bentley

In the heart of London, Halkin Mainframe, one of the city's premium coworking destinations, has recently upgraded its meeting spaces. Ashton Bentley, a division of Kramer, has installed a state-of-the-art AV solution in six of its meeting rooms.

The new setup combines dedicated Zoom Rooms with flexible BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) connectivity, offering a seamless experience for both pre-scheduled and spontaneous meetings. The central device in this setup is the Ashton Bentley BX USB-C Breakout Hub, designed to deliver a simplified user experience in professional meeting spaces.

The BX Hub is installed beneath desks, allowing users to instantly connect their laptops to the room's AV infrastructure without the need for manual cable switching or setting changes. This innovation eliminates the hassle often associated with traditional meeting room setups, making collaborations more efficient and productive.

The BX Hub features automatic 5V USB switching between native room systems and user devices, ensuring a smooth transition between different platforms. It also includes a secure locking USB-C connector to prevent accidental disconnections during meetings.

Before the installation of the Ashton Bentley solution, the AV infrastructure at Halkin Mainframe was managed by Vision On AV Systems. The BX Hub now enables the venue to support both standardised, platform-specific meetings and user-driven collaboration, offering greater flexibility to its clients.

Jack Cornish, technical director at AV integrator Tateside, praised the BX Hub, stating that it delivers what seems to be a simple task effectively. The BX Hub's robust design is well-suited for the demands of commercial environments, such as daily hotdesking, ensuring reliability and longevity.
