Harvesting equipment ablaze in Bocholt's inferno
Fire Department Battles Vehicle Fire in Holtwick
On Friday evening at 21:13, the Bocholt Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the village of Holtwick. Upon arrival, they found a combine harvester fully engulfed in flames on Straße Hoves Esch.
Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle was able to steer it to the edge of the field and escape unharmed before the fire spread. The Bocholt Fire Department's operation was supported by volunteers, and additional personnel staffed the fire station at Dingdener Straße during the incident.
The incident was significant, with the Bocholt Fire Department deploying 6 vehicles and 20 personnel to the scene. To combat the fire, several teams in breathing apparatus worked tirelessly to prevent the fire from spreading to the field and extinguished the vehicle.
