Helmstedt's 48th Annual Old Town Festival Bringing Music and Delicacies

The 48th Helmstedt Old Town Festival is set to take place on the 5th and 6th of September, promising a weekend filled with music, food, and celebration.

Kicking off the festivities on Friday, visitors can look forward to the first-time performance of "The Heatin' Tubes" from Braunschweig. Alongside them, The Shanty Choir and Sylvana Woelfel will take the stage, creating an eclectic mix of sounds to start the festival off right.

The official opening will take place at 7 PM on Friday, with Mayor Wittich Schobert and the Helmstedt House Man tapping the beer barrel to mark the beginning of the festivities.

As the evening progresses, a cozy atmosphere will be created on the Heinrichsplatz stage, where DJ Wolle is expected to welcome visitors. However, it seems there might be a slight mix-up, as there is no available information about a DJ Wolle performance on the Heinrichsplatz stage this Saturday.

Moving on to Saturday, the festival will continue from 12 PM until 12:30 AM. The market square will host a performance, with "Ablazed" celebrating their 20th anniversary. All the bands performing on Saturday are from Helmstedt, including "The Beat Tones", "Lucia and Sean", the "County Music School Band", and "Project Z".

The festival will feature a diverse music program, including performances by jazz, modern, and contemporary dance dancers, ensuring there's something for everyone.

In addition to the music, food and drink stands, as well as information and sales booths, will be available during the festival. Everything needed to create a lively atmosphere will be available on the Heinrichsplatz stage on Saturday, making it the perfect spot to spend the day.
