WSOP 2025 Main Event: Day 3 Recap

The third day of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2025 Main Event has come to a close, with a thrilling set of events unfolding. The tournament, hosted by Asian partners and featuring dedicated satellites, saw a total of 3,453 players in contention, combining 2,133 from one batch and 1,320 from another.

As the day progressed, several notable players found themselves advancing, while others were eliminated. Among those still in the running are Anton Kozko, Dmitry Vitugins, Alexander Lysenko, Vladislav Pogriny, Andrey Golubev, Ruslan Bakhteev, and Timofey Vekshin.

Dmitry Vitugins and Ruslan Bakhteev reported impressive stack sizes, with Vitugins holding 2,150,000 chips and Bakhteev boasting a staggering 2,500,000 chips. Bakhteev's success can be attributed to multiple instances of being dealt aces and taking advantage of weak players, while Vitugins' stack size is a testament to his strategic play.

Alexander Lisenko and Andrey Berinov also made significant moves during the day. Lisenko currently holds 800K, while Berinov, after getting 4-bet shoved on A-Q, reported a stack size of 1,385,000 chips.

Not all players were as fortunate, however. Roma Kuznetsov and Alexander Razinkov were among those who were eliminated from the tournament. Kuznetsov's exit marked the end of a promising run, while Razinkov's departure signalled a setback in his quest for the Main Event title.

As the tournament enters its later stages, the competition is heating up. Alexei Romanov, the chip leader, currently holds 5,475M, a testament to his skill and consistency in the game. Pavel Bilozorko, meanwhile, is sitting on 700K, preparing for the challenges that lie ahead.

Night Watch also reported a stack size of 900,000 chips, mentioning a dominant Russian player at their table. The identity of this player remains unknown, adding an element of mystery to the ongoing tournament.

The Main Event Day 2 concluded with 260 entries, playing down to the top 26 with 39 players making the money. The Silver Poker tournament, a two-day tournament with a buy-in of 400 euros and a guaranteed prize pool of 111,000 euros, also took place during the day, but details about its final outcomes were not provided.

Timofey Vekshin, a player still in contention, saw his current stack size not mentioned in the text. As the tournament moves towards its climax, all eyes will be on the remaining players, including Vekshin, as they battle it out for the €200,000 prize that awaits the winner.
