Hiker suffers critical injuries following a 150-foot plunge down the Pali Notches trail
In a tragic incident that occurred over the weekend, a 24-year-old man named Aalap Shah was seriously injured while hiking the Pali Notches trail.
On Saturday, the incident took place, with the man falling approximately 150 feet. The exact location of the fall is not yet clear, but it happened along the popular Pali Notches trail.
Upon finding the injured man, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provided advanced life support on scene. Despite their best efforts, the man's condition upon arrival at the hospital was critical, as he had suffered multiple injuries.
The man was then transported to the hospital for further treatment. The hospital also provided advanced life support to ensure the best possible care for the injured hiker.
The specific nature of the injuries sustained by Mr. Shah is not yet known, but it is understood that they are serious and potentially life-threatening.
