Historic Transport Parade on its 20th Occasion

Retro Parade of Historical Vehicles Delights Moscow Residents

The streets of Moscow were filled with a blast from the past this weekend, as the Moscow Transport Museum organised the "Retro Parade" on Chistoprudniy Boulevard. Thousands of residents watched in awe as a column of historical trams and vintage cars made their way through the city.

The parade began at the Novokuznetskaya metro station and made its way towards Chistoprudniy Boulevard, crossing the Bolshoy Ustinsky Bridge and the Boulevard Ring. A total of 15 retro trams participated in the parade, each one gleaming with the patina of age and history.

Among the participants were several iconic models of trams, including those from the Riga Carriage Factory. One driver was even spotted posing in front of his tram, a proud smile on his face.

But it wasn't just trams that took part in the parade. A total of 30 historical cars participated in the exhibition, with a "Zaporozhets" and a "GAZ-21 ("Volga") among them. A participant was even seen in a "Moskvich" during the parade, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere.

Several guests were present at the exhibition, snapping photos and admiring the vintage vehicles. Even four-legged visitors attended the event, adding a touch of whimsy to the proceedings.

Several photo zones were set up on Chistye Prudy, giving attendees the opportunity to capture their own memories of the retro transport parade. A participant in the parade was even dressed as a historic tram conductor, adding to the authenticity of the event.

One particularly memorable moment came when a driver of a retro tram was observed posing for a photo with a visitor. It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the Retro Parade - a celebration of Moscow's rich transport history and a reminder of the city's past glory.

Overall, the Retro Parade was a huge success, delighting both residents and visitors alike. It was a testament to the enduring appeal of vintage vehicles and a reminder of the city's rich transport history. We can only hope that the Moscow Transport Museum continues to organise such events in the future.
