In a thrilling encounter at the PreZero Arena, Eintracht Frankfurt overcame TSG 1899 Hoffenheim with a 3-1 win, marking their second victory of the Bundesliga season.

The opening exchanges saw both teams feeling each other out, with Eintracht Frankfurt struggling to find the goal. However, their persistence paid off in the 17th minute when Ritsu Doan capitalised on a chance from 18 meters, skillfully curling the ball into the top corner to put the hosts ahead.

Doan struck again just ten minutes later, this time from five meters, after a pass from Jean-Matthie Bahoya. The Japanese midfielder completed his brace, scoring Eintracht Frankfurt's third goal in the second half, following a fine pass from Doan himself.

Hoffenheim struggled to respond, with Eintracht Frankfurt remaining dangerous at all times. Goalkeeper Oliver Baumann made a save to deny Bahoya another goal, while a chance for Elye Wahi to extend the lead was cleared off the line by TSG defender Robin Hranac.

Hoffenheim managed an offside goal during the match, but it was too little too late as Eintracht Frankfurt maintained control, even after letting the reins slip a bit after securing the lead.

Eintracht Frankfurt had to do without striker Jonathan Burkardt due to back pain, while Mario GΓΆtze was absent for the hosts due to muscle problems. New signing Elye Wahi started the game for Eintracht Frankfurt, replacing Burkardt in the starting lineup.

Ansgar Knauff missed a big chance for Eintracht Frankfurt, while Tim Lemperle's shot landed directly in Eintracht Frankfurt's goalkeeper's arms. Despite these missed opportunities, Eintracht Frankfurt's dominance was evident throughout the match.

The win sees Eintracht Frankfurt start the Bundesliga season with two wins for the first time in 13 years, setting them up well for the challenges ahead. Can Uzun's goal in the 51st minute was the icing on the cake for the Frankfurt-based club, as they look to build on this impressive start to the season.
