The new Prelude, scheduled for release in the US in the fourth quarter of 2025 and in Europe in 2026, is poised to make a significant impact, according to Katsuhi Inoue, CEO of Honda's Automobile Operations.

The new Prelude is built on the Civic Type R chassis and boasts a two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain. The powertrain features a 141 hp 2.0L Atkinson 4-cylinder in-line engine, contributing to a total power output of 200 hp. The innovative new drive mode, S+ Shift, is also making its debut with the new Prelude.

Honda's commitment to exciting, fun-to-drive vehicles is evident in the return of the Prelude, a 2-door, 4-seater vehicle that is expected to help accelerate the company's hybrid-electric sales in the years ahead. Jessika Laudermilk, assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales, expressed her excitement about the Prelude's return, stating that it demonstrates Honda's dedication to delivering vehicles that customers love.

The new Prelude is entering the market at a time when recognition for innovation, leadership, and impact in the automotive industry is more important than ever. The Just Auto Excellence Awards, designed to celebrate such achievements, are now open for nominations. Entering these prestigious awards provides an opportunity to showcase achievements and elevate industry profile.

The Just Auto Excellence Awards position entrants among the top leaders driving automotive industry advancements.
