House fire erupts in Dinslaken, multiple individuals at risk.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Dinslaken Fire Department was called to a significant incident in the city centre. The fire, located in a ground-floor apartment on Scharnhorststrasse, was reported at 04:05.
Upon arrival, the police had already evacuated all residents from the building. Despite reports of several people being in the building at the time of the fire, thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The fire department dispatched two teams with heavy breathing apparatus, who were equipped with a hose reel and a positive pressure fan. Their primary focus was on extinguishing the fire in the affected apartment and containing the spread of smoke.
Another team was on standby as a safety team, while the command service, including the background service and IT unit, were present with an incident command vehicle for command support.
The main fire station and city centre unit of the Dinslaken Fire Department were involved in the response, and they were joined by the rescue service and a doctor's emergency vehicle.
The fire caused significant damage to the affected apartment, making it uninhabitable. The resident of the apartment was taken to a local hospital for further medical treatment.
As of now, the cause of the fire is under police investigation.
