House Fire in Bad Bramstedt Leaves One Individual Hurt

On the morning of July 3, 2025, a residential fire broke out on "Butendoor" street in Bad Bramstedt, Germany.

At around 08:31 AM, the voluntary fire department of Bad Bramstedt, along with an ambulance, was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found that smoke was billowing from the first floor of a multi-family house, with smoke alarms activated. The living room was ablaze, prompting the firefighters to quickly extinguish the fire using a handheld hose reel and breathing apparatus.

The resident of the affected house was treated by the rescue service and transported to a nearby hospital. Another person living in the building was medically treated due to initial heavy smoke, but further hospital treatment was not necessary.

Sadly, two cats were reported missing in the house, but could not be found despite an extensive search. The details of the missing cats remain unknown.

Approximately 30 emergency service personnel from various entities were involved in the operation. These included the Segeberg District Fire Association, the Voluntary Fire Department Bad Bramstedt, the Rescue Service Cooperation in Schleswig-Holstein with two ambulances, the Police Segeberg and Pinneberg, and an energy supplier.

The fire department cannot provide any information on the cause of the fire, the extent of the damage, or the details of affected or injured persons beyond those mentioned in this report.

Once the fire was extinguished and ventilation work was completed, the scene was handed over to the police.
