House Fire Occurs on Balcony of Multi-Residential Building
On March 22, 2024, a balcony fire broke out in the town of Bütow. The incident was initially reported by the Police Inspectorate Neubrandenburg.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Moreover, there was no damage to the apartment where the fire occurred, nor was an evacuation of the apartment or the entire building necessary.
The cause of the fire is believed to be a cigarette butt discarded in a flowerpot. However, further information about who might have committed the suspicious arson attack remains unknown. A criminal complaint for suspected negligent arson was filed on-site.
The local firefighters were on the scene to extinguish the fire, but no new information about their involvement or the status of the fire was provided.
The estimated damage caused by the fire is approximately 7,500 euros.
