Piaget Unveils the Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch: A Masterpiece of Modern Watchmaking

Swiss luxury watchmaker Piaget has announced the launch of a new timepiece, the Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch, as part of their "Shapes of Extraleganza 2025" collection. This masterpiece in 41 millimeters is not just a watch, but a wearable sculpture that combines Pop Art, High Jewelry, and fine watchmaking.

The Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch is a homage to Piaget's historical connection to the art world. The decorative elements of the watch pick up the design of Piaget earrings, creating a vibrant and visually striking piece. The base of the watch is the legendary Altiplano, an ultra-thin dress watch, reimagined with a three-dimensional pop art design.

The design features squares, circles, waves, and zigzag lines that appear randomly combined but are strictly coordinated. The case of the watch has been reinterpreted, featuring a relief of emerald, chrysoprase, malachite, and diamonds. The watch's price is in the seven-figure range, and it is limited to only eight examples worldwide, making it a truly exclusive piece.

The Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch is more than just a classic wristwatch. It is part of a convertible High Jewelry set and can be worn as a piece of jewelry. The watch manufactory Piaget designed this model, which will be officially presented in 2025 as part of the Extraleganza 2025 collection.

The Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch features Piaget's in-house caliber 670P, an ultra-thin, manually wound Tourbillon. The watch's Palace decor engraving from the 60s reinforces the design, creating a vibrating surface.

The "Shapes of Extraleganza 2025" collection by Piaget plays spectacularly with shapes, colors, and materials, as one would expect from sculpture. In addition to the Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch, the collection includes a sautoir with a hidden movement and a diamond-set ring that functions like a mini timepiece.

While Piaget has made headlines with the Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch, it's not the only new timepiece on the market. German watch manufacturer Glashütte Original has presented two new variants of the Belisar Chronograph Moon Phase.

The Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch is a statement that shows how Piaget merges visual and craftsmanship arts. It is less a product for customers than a demonstration of the possibilities that modern watchmaking has. With its unique design and limited production, the Altiplano Arty Pop Earrings Watch is sure to be a collector's item for years to come.
