Husband navigates his spouse across a street via crosswalk
Yesterday afternoon, a traffic accident occurred on Schnellerstraße towards Fennstraße, just past Rudower Straße in Niederschoeneweide.
The incident involved a 20-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the street legally at a designated pedestrian crossing. Tragically, the pedestrian was struck by a VW that was being driven by a 74-year-old man.
The pedestrian was thrown to the ground and sustained head injuries. Emergency services were promptly called to the scene, and the pedestrian was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
The investigation into the traffic accident is being handled by a specialized traffic crime unit of the Police Directorate 3 (East). The name of the officer responsible for the investigation is not publicly available at this time.
The driver of the VW was reportedly driving on Schnellerstraße towards Fennstraße at the time of the accident.
