In the fast-paced world of Formula 1, Laura Müller has made a significant mark as a race engineer for the Haas team, working closely with Esteban Ocon.

After graduating from high school, Müller pursued mechanical engineering in Munich, a decision that would later prove crucial in her career. Her love for Formula 1 was ignited by the legendary Michael Schumacher, and it has remained a constant passion ever since.

Müller's journey in Formula 1 began in 2022 when she entered the top class, starting as a performance engineer at Haas. Her diligent work ethic, which leads her to seek multiple solutions after the first one, quickly caught the attention of the team. This year, she was promoted to race engineer, a position she now holds with pride.

Müller is not only making history as a woman in Formula 1, but also as the first woman to hold the position of race engineer. Her promotion was a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and dedication.

Ocon, currently in tenth place in the driver standings after 14 GP weekends, will rely heavily on Müller's expertise, particularly in the rainy conditions forecast for the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix on August 31st. Good communication between the two will be crucial in navigating the challenging weather conditions at Zandvoort.

Ayou Komatsu, Haas team boss, praises Müller's goal-oriented character and her deep-dive approach to problem-solving. This approach has paid off, with Ocon and Müller collecting 27 points for Haas since his departure from Alpine.

Despite her success, Müller is not very fond of giving interviews, preferring to let her work speak for itself. However, a recent interview provided deeper insights into her job, offering a glimpse into the meticulous work that goes into ensuring Ocon's success on the track.

Before joining Formula 1, Müller worked as a race engineer for Sophia Flörsch in the DTM with the successful Abt team. This experience undoubtedly contributed to her success in Formula 1.

The Dutch Grand Prix presents the next opportunity for points for Ocon and Müller. With rain forecast for the race, it promises to be an exciting and challenging event. Regardless of the outcome, Müller's dedication and passion for Formula 1 are certain to continue driving her success in the sport.
