Ice Rink Spectacle: Highlighting Automobiles, Customs, and Style on the World's Chilliest Racing Track
In the heart of the Austrian Alps, Polestar has constructed a world-class event venue for the FAT International Ice Race, setting the stage for an action-packed winter extravaganza.
From January 30 to February 1, 2026, the snow-capped peaks of Zell am See-Kaprun will play host to this thrilling event, which offers more than just high-speed racing. The FAT International Ice Race presents a unique blend of adrenaline-pumping experiences, including Flying Bulls helicopter flights and exclusive VIP box visits, alongside the real action on the racetrack.
Polestar has gone all out for the event, setting up a base camp and showcasing their latest creations. The star of the show is the jacked-up Polestar 5, the most powerful vehicle from Polestar yet. But the spotlight also shines on the Arctic Circle collection, a series of vehicles that have been specially adapted for the icy terrain with jacked-up suspensions and ice-capable racing wheels. These vehicles, distinguished by their white-and-yellow paint jobs, bulky white racing wheels, and performance bucket seats, were unveiled at the event.
The Arctic Circle collection is not a new concept for Polestar. Dan Persson, Strategic Creative Director at Polestar, emphasises that this electric workshop is not just about presenting vehicles, but staging movement and creating memorable experiences. This philosophy is evident in the unique way the Arctic Circle collection was experienced amidst the snow-white peaks of the Austrian Alps, offering a Polestar experience like never before.
Polestar's commitment to sustainability is also on display at the event. The company is extending its cooperation with the TERRA WORTMANN OPEN in Halle Westfalen and the Bad Homburg Open powered by Solarwatt, signifying a step towards a more sustainable future.
The FAT International Ice Race event is not the first time Polestar has been involved in motorsport. Thed Bjรถrk, one of the greatest Swedish racing drivers of all time, has a history with Polestar dating back to his early days at Cyan Racing. Bjรถrk, who was present at the event, added an extra dose of excitement to the proceedings.
The "Polestar Driver Days" at Bilster Berg, a four-day event filled with adrenaline, electric peak performance, and great encounters for Polestar customers and service partners, was a prelude to the grandeur of the FAT International Ice Race. As the snowy curtain falls on the Austrian Alps, Polestar leaves behind a trail of electrifying memories and a promise of more exhilarating experiences to come.
