Identifying the party responsible for the accident: Any hints?
In the quiet town of Weinböhla, a road traffic accident occurred on September 6, 2025, leaving a 73-year-old driver and a young girl injured.
The incident took place when a 19-year-old driver of a VW Golf, turning left onto Forststraße, collided with a VW Polo driven by the elderly individual on Moritzburger Straße. Both vehicles involved in the accident were, in fact, VW Golfs or Polos, though the exact model and colour remain unclear.
The young girl, who was riding her bike at the time, was unfortunately injured in the fall. Despite the accident, the driver did not stop to offer assistance or contact the injured party. Instead, they fled the scene, leaving the girl and the 73-year-old driver in a state of shock.
The girl's bike and the two vehicles sustained property damage as a result of the collision. The girl was treated for her injuries at the local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Authorities are now seeking the public's help in identifying the driver who fled the scene. Witnesses are asked to call the Traffic Commission in Kaarst at 02131 / 30 00 with any information they may have.
The town of Weinböhla hopes that the driver responsible for this accident will come forward and take responsibility for their actions. Until then, the community remains vigilant, reminding drivers of their responsibility to others on the road.
