IGT receives iCAP Ready certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling
International Game Technology (IGT) has made a significant stride in the gaming industry, becoming the first supplier to receive the iCAP Ready accreditation for its iLottery operations. This recognition, granted by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), underscores IGT's extensive efforts towards responsible gaming.
The accreditation process involved an audit by an external independent agency, eCOGRA (eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance), which assessed IGT's responsible gaming practices and policies, among other operations. The iCAP Ready accreditation is based on the original gaming-focused iCAP, which targets gaming industry suppliers, offering support tools and adequate employee training to ensure compliance with responsible gaming standards.
IGT's compliance with iCAP Ready's standards demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the well-being of players. The company's dedication to responsible gaming was further highlighted when it achieved a top score in the 2025 Corporate Equality Index, recognising its efforts towards diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's index acknowledges companies that promote workplace inclusion, diversity, and equality.
Wendy Montgomery, IGT's SVP Marketing, Communications and Sustainability, commented on the accreditation, stating, "The iCAP Ready certification is a testament to IGT's comprehensive responsible gaming processes and practices implemented throughout the organization, and our dedication to protecting employees, customers, and players worldwide."
Keith Whyte, Executive Director of the National Council on Problem Gambling, commended IGT for being the first gaming industry supplier to secure the iCAP Ready accreditation. He expressed his hope that other companies in the industry would follow IGT's lead in prioritising responsible gaming practices.
This milestone underscores IGT's position as a leader in the gaming industry, demonstrating its commitment to promoting a safe and responsible gaming environment for all.
