Illegal Blaze in Heeren-Werve's Underground Site, as Reported by FW Kamen

In the Heeren-Werve district of Kamen, a basement fire was reported at Goethestrasse on Wednesday at 13:07. The Volunteer Fire Department Kamen swiftly responded to the incident.

Upon arrival, dark smoke was billowing from a basement window. The fire department, comprising units from fire trucks 3 (Heeren-Werve/Rottum) and 1 (Center/South Kamen), the main fire station, as well as personnel from the rescue service and the police, sprang into action.

The attack team, equipped with heavy breathing apparatus and a C-jet nozzle, worked diligently to extinguish the fire. Fortunately, the fire was contained to a single basement room, making the house still habitable. The fire department reported "fire out" after no further elevated temperatures were detected.

A fan was deployed to clear smoke from the basement room, and the GSW Kamen checked the power lines to ensure there was no danger from them. The operation was limited to extinguishing the fire, and fortunately, there were no injuries to report.

The cause of the fire will be investigated by the police, with the specific investigator's name not being disclosed. The source of the information is the Volunteer Fire Department Kamen, transmitted via news aktuellSource: ots.
