In the Moscow suburb of Chekhov, a shocking discovery has been made, leading to the opening of a criminal case for animal cruelty. According to reports from Life and RBC, an investigation has begun following the unearthing of a puppy mill housing 60 Maine Coons.

The animals were found to be kept in inadequate conditions, with over 50 pet owners sharing disturbing stories of pets living in filthy cages covered in excrement and blood. Items, including electric shock collars, were seized during a search conducted on the property.

The case involves private individuals providing pet care services in Chekhov, and the Moscow region Investigative Committee is now involved. The case could potentially be charged under part "d" of article 245 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to cruelty to multiple animals. If found guilty, the maximum penalty for this offense is five years in prison.

Singer Mona (Daria Kostovskaya) has also spoken out about the case, posting about a holding point where her dogs were located. She alleged that an electric shock collar was placed on her dog. The names of the individuals responsible for animal care in Chekhov, suspected of animal cruelty, have not been disclosed to the public.

This is not the first time such allegations have surfaced. The details of the case were also reported by RBC, highlighting the growing concern over the treatment of animals in private care services. As the investigation continues, the public awaits updates on the ongoing case and hopes for justice for the mistreated animals.
