Illicit trading unmasked in BPOLI LUD community
In a recent development, a minibus coming from Poland was stopped in Bad Muskau on Sunday. The vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old Ukrainian man and carrying a passenger of the same age, along with eleven other passengers from Ukraine, was found to be involved in a suspected smuggling operation.
The investigation into this incident is being carried out by the Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf. According to the press spokesperson for the organisation, Michael Engler, the trio is facing charges for smuggling aliens and document forgery. The younger Vietnamese man was suspected of illegal entry, while the Ukrainian woman and the older Vietnamese man were accused of the main offences.
The investigation reveals that the group intended to be smuggled into Germany but were rejected back to Poland when the plan failed. Accompanying the Ukrainian woman was a 35-year-old Vietnamese man, who was found to lack a residence permit and a German visa. In the back seat of the car, officers found a second Vietnamese man, 26 years old, who had a passport but no visa. He had paid the other two 600 euros each to bring him to Germany.
The suspected smugglers in this ongoing investigation are a couple living in Berlin. The man in the couple has a criminal record, with a previous incident in December. Upon being caught in December, he had to post a security bond of 1,300 euros. The woman in the suspected smuggling couple also had to post a security bond, specifically 700 euros, upon being caught in a previous incident.

Please note that there are no known ongoing investigations into "Alien-Smuggling" (in the sense of smuggling of extraterrestrials) or a similar investigation in Ludwigsdorf or elsewhere in Germany, at least not as of the end of 2023, to the best of my knowledge. The term "Alien-Smuggling" is not found in the context of current criminal proceedings in Germany.
