Immediate construction activities taking place along Peace Road

In the heart of Pforzheim, a bustling city in Germany, residents and commuters should be prepared for significant traffic disruptions starting next week. The city has announced a road closure and repair works on Friedenstraße, located near Steinernen Brücke in Dillweißenstein.

From Thursday, May 31 to Monday, June 5, 2023, Friedenstraße between Ottersteinstraße and Steinernen Brücke will be completely closed for repair works. This closure is due to unexpected road damage that necessitates immediate attention.

During this period, the city of Pforzheim will carry out extensive repair works on the uphill lane, requiring the entire lane width to be renewed. Simultaneously, contact loops for the traffic light system will be installed to improve traffic flow once the repairs are complete.

The Steinernen Brücke, a key crossing point for heavy traffic, will also remain closed for such vehicles during this time. Traffic from Sonnenhof will be redirected via Ottersteinstraße, Schwarzwaldstraße, and Straße Am Nagoldhang to reach Steinernen Brücke.

In the area of Straße Am Nagoldhang and Steinernen Brücke, only one-way traffic is possible due to the ongoing construction work. For vehicles heading towards Südweststadt, local signage up to Calwer Straße/Kallhardtbrücke should be followed as an alternative route.
