In celebration of its 50th milestone, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House is back in New York, adorning a six-story townhouse in the heart of Greenwich Village as its artistic showpiece.
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House is set to return in 2025, marking its 49th edition and a grand return to its original location in Greenwich Village, New York City. This annual event, first founded in 1973, aims to fund the after-school and enrichment programs of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
This year, the Show House features 21 leading designers and architects, each bringing their unique style and expertise to the six-story townhouse at 20 West 12th Street. One of these design firms is Mark Hampton LLC, participating in the Show House for its fifth time. Founded by Mark Hampton, the firm has been under the leadership of his daughter, Alexa Hampton, since 1988. Known for timeless interiors around the globe, Mark Hampton LLC has also launched a range of licensed collections.
Another notable participant is Christopher Peacock, who launched his namesake brand in 1992 after moving to the U.S. in 1987. Christopher Peacock's kitchen designs are analogous to architectural tailoring, being fitted, refined, and effortlessly elevated. His client list includes not one but two U.S. presidents.
Corey Damen Jenkins, known for his fearless use of color, texture, and pattern, and the author of "Design Remix: A New Spin on Traditional Rooms", is another designer taking part in the Show House. Corey is also a member of the MasterClass faculty and has a new book and YouTube series coming out in September 2025.
Jamie Drake, an interior designer, shapes institutions and has a signature blend of contemporary comfort and polished luxury. Jamie Drake has been part of the Show House story, not only as a featured designer but also as vice chair of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House and co-chair of its iconic President's Dinner.
Charles Pavarini III, the helmsman of Pavarini Design Inc., has a background spanning interiors, set design, couture, and product development. J. Randall Tarasuk, vice president of Pavarini Design Inc., plays an equally key role in shaping the firm's vision, balancing Charles' bold flourishes with technical precision and historical depth. Pavarini Design Inc. is known for its refined European aesthetic, having worked on landmark projects like the Seagram Tower, United Nations, and Lincoln Center.
Ben Pentreath Studio, whose principal, Ben Pentreath, studied at the University of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales' Institute of Architecture, is another designer participating in the Show House.
The full lineup of designers can be found online, with six standout names provided as a starting point. The Show House will be open to the public from September 30, 2025, for three weeks.
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House not only showcases the talents of some of the world's leading designers but also contributes to a worthy cause, supporting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and its mission to provide after-school and enrichment programs for children in need.
