In the city of Hamm, Germany, the local election is fast approaching on September 14, 2025. This election will determine the positions of Lord Mayor, Council, District Committees, Association Assembly of the RVR, and partly the Integration Council.

The city is in need of over 1,300 election helpers to staff polling stations and postal voting districts. Interested parties can register as election helpers via email or an online form on the city of Hamm's website. Registration is open to all eligible citizens, with the focus on those interested in supporting the election process.

To be eligible to vote, residents must have lived in Germany or another EU country for at least three months, be registered in a voters' register, and not be excluded from voting rights. All eligible residents aged 16 and above can cast their votes in the election.

Election helpers will begin their activity at 7:30 AM in a polling station near their residence. In return for their services, election helpers will receive a refreshment allowance of between 40 and 75 euros in cash.
