Nice Coach Franck Haise Urges Improved Leadership and Work Ethic

Franck Haise, the coach of Nice, has expressed his frustration at seeing players with abilities not putting everything in place during matches. In a recent press conference, he emphasized the importance of work ethic and commitment to the team.

Haise singled out Jeremie Boga, an Ivorian attacker, for his high level of performance against AJA. Boga's notable appearance has given Nice hope that he will continue to deliver many more impressive performances.

However, Haise also pointed out that some players did not give the impression of playing at eleven against ten following the expulsion of the Auxerre goalkeeper Donovan Léon between the 46th and 70th minute. He stated that some players have understood the requirement for increased effort, while many have not.

In an effort to address the leadership void in the team, Haise has identified the expected recruitment of Charles Vanhoutte, a Belgian midfielder, as a potential solution. Vanhoutte is known for being a sore loser and not hesitating to raise his voice when necessary, qualities that could help improve the character and leadership within the Nice team.

If the recruitment of Vanhoutte comes to fruition, it would be the last of the summer for Nice. The team has already seen the departure of Badredine Bouanani, a player removed from the starting eleven, who could have been cited before his transfer to Stuttgart for a bonus of 20 M€.

Tiago Gouveia, a winger from Benfica, has passed his medical exam to replace Bouanani. Haise also took the opportunity to ask Boga about his career goals, implying that he has the qualities of a high-level player.

Last season, the Nice team lacked leaders, and with the departure of Gaëtan Laborde and Marcin Bulka, two unifying players, the team is in need of new leadership. Haise believes the dynamics within the team should be built through work ethic and demands, and the recruitment of Vanhoutte and Gouveia could help address this issue.

The 20-year-old left-footed player expected to join Nice, Bilal El Khannouss, is known for his dribbling and technique, and his role as a central playmaker suggests potential value for the team beyond his positional skills. El Khannouss could bring benefits in character, as he is a young player with leadership potential.

As the summer transfer window comes to a close, Nice hopes that the arrival of these new players will help the team improve and compete at a higher level this season.
