Incident at a gas station on Chicago's Near West Side results in fatal shooting of one individual
In an unfortunate incident, a shooting took place at the Shell gas station located at 45 N. Western Ave., corner of Warren Boulevard, on Sunday evening at 11:05 p.m.
The victim, identified as 21-year-old Adam Harrington, was found outside the gas station, unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Mr. Harrington was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.
According to currently available public information, there is no evidence or report identifying who shot Mr. Harrington. Two individuals exited a black sedan and fired at the victim before getting back into the vehicle and fleeing the scene.
The police are currently investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. The community is understandably shaken by this senseless act of violence, and the police are urging anyone with information to help bring those responsible to justice.
