Increase in Attendees at the Summer Cultural Festival

=============================================================================

The Knechtsteden Cultural Summer 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting event, with a unique blend of music and comedy performances. Organised by the municipal culture office and the Knechtsteden Cultural Center, the event promises to entertain a large audience.

Last year, the cultural office recorded an increase of 400 visitors compared to the previous year, indicating a growing interest in the event. This year, the event is set to attract even more guests, with 1,400 attendees already confirmed for the Knechtsteden Cultural Summer.

The event will feature two concerts in the theater barn, followed by three comedy evenings. The concerts will showcase tribute bands "Still Collins", "Panische Zeiten" (Udo Lindenberg), and "Vier gewinnt" (Die Fantastischen Vier), which attracted 900 music lovers last year.

The comedy program for the theater barn in 2026 is already set, with performances by Lucy van Kuhl, Roberto Capitoni, Jens Heinrich Claassen, Ralf Senkel, Henning Schmidtke, and Anna Schäfer. Lucy van Kuhl will perform her musical comedy show "Geschickt verpackt" on August 4, 2026, at 8 PM. Roberto Capitoni will perform his 4D stand-up comedy show on August 5, 2026. Jens Heinrich Claassen will perform his music-comedy mix "Keine Ursache" on August 6, 2026.

The "Drei für 45" subscription, offering all three evenings for only 45 euros, is a popular offer from the culture office. Early bird bookings can purchase tickets for this subscription at reservix.de and at the City Bookstore Dormagen. Individual tickets for the comedy shows can also be purchased at the specified locations.

Archie Deneke, the Knechtsteden Cultural Center chief, is currently in negotiations with well-known cover bands for the concert events. The Lions Club Dormagen handled catering for the event, with the proceeds and donations going to "Klasse 2000", a project offering seminars on topics like conflict resolution and healthy eating at two Dormagen elementary schools.

The comedy shows were held for the first time on three consecutive weekdays last year, and this new concept of two concert evenings and three comedy shows will be continued in the coming year. The culture office recorded an increase of 400 visitors from the previous year, indicating a successful new concept.

The Knechtsteden Cultural Summer 2026 is set to be an unforgettable event, bringing together music and comedy lovers for an exciting week. Don't miss out on the opportunity to be a part of it!
