Increase in enrollment for CBTIS 301, set to impact 900 students positively

In the heart of Cancún, a land of opportunities, a new educational facility is taking shape. On September 1, 2023, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and Secretary of Education, Mario Delgado, announced the launch of a project to improve educational infrastructure and resources in the region.

The new technological and service high school, CBTIS 301, is being constructed in the Cuna Maya neighbourhood. With an investment of 62.5 million pesos, this modern educational facility will provide 900 students with classrooms, laboratories, workshops, functional furniture, and state-of-the-art technology.

The governor expressed that the municipality is becoming a benchmark for well-being and social justice. She was joined by other dignitaries, including Ana Paty Peralta de la Peña, the mayor of Cancún, Elda Xix Euan, the state secretary of Education, and Jorge Arturo Sanén Cervantes, president of the State Government and Political Coordination Board of the Congress.

Clayder Antonio Conrado Bracamonte, head of the State Infrastructure Educational Projects Administration Sub-directorate of INIFED in Quintana Roo, and José Rafael Lara Díaz, the secretary of Public Works, were also present at the event. Lucero Ramírez Rodríguez, president of the Social Audit Committee of the work, also participated.

Mario Delgado announced that CBTIS 301 will be part of the New Mexican School, starting September 1st. Graduates of this institution will receive two certificates, one for general high school and another for the technical area they specialize in.

The governor emphasized the importance of this project, stating that actions are being taken to guarantee education, services, and dignified spaces in Cancún. She reiterated her commitment to ensuring that young people in Cancún have the right to a better future.
