In a surprising turn of events, the imitation "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) caps, a popular choice among Trump supporters, are likely to be impacted by the new tariffs.

These caps, primarily sourced from China, have been a go-to option for many who prefer a more budget-friendly alternative to the official caps. However, with the new tariffs now applying to these imitations, the price could potentially rise.

Trump's trade policy may inadvertently increase the cost of a favourite item among his supporters. The imitation MAGA caps, often cheaper than the official ones, could become less affordable due to these new tariffs.

The official MAGA caps, sold in Trump Tower's souvenir shop, are manufactured by Haas Flag & Apparel in Pennsylvania. In contrast, the red MAGA cap, under scrutiny, is not included in this category and is not affected by the tariffs.

Interestingly, the official MAGA caps, made in California, cost over $40, making them a more significant investment compared to their imitation counterparts.

The potential increase in price for imitation MAGA caps could have a financial impact on Trump's supporters, who have grown accustomed to the more affordable options. As the situation unfolds, it will be interesting to see how this development affects the popularity of these iconic caps.
