Grunewald Collaborates with Resand for Sustainable Sand Regeneration

Grunewald, a leading specialist in low-pressure sand casting, has announced a collaboration with Resand Ltd, a Finnish technology company specializing in foundry sand regeneration. This partnership aims to reduce transportation costs, CO emissions, and promote sustainable and efficient manufacturing processes at Grunewald.

According to Ulrich Grunewald, Managing Director of Grunewald, this collaboration aligns with their commitment to environmentally friendly and resource-saving production methods. The sand regeneration will take place at Grunewald's foundry, allowing them to increase their production capacity while reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs associated with sand regeneration.

Resand's sand regeneration technology can process both classic and 3D-printed sand, making it a versatile solution for Grunewald's mold production. Mold production at Grunewald is carried out using both traditional model setup and modern 3D sand printing.

Mikko Immonen, CEO of Resand Ltd, has stated that this collaboration validates the effectiveness of their double drum technology and SAAS model. The Resand® solution addresses the global challenge of sand scarcity by recycling sand repeatedly, enabling almost 100% recycling of foundry sand.

Resand Ltd, headquartered in Nuutajärvi, Finland, has staff in several European countries, but the search results do not provide information about the specific countries where their employees are stationed. The company's website can be found at www.resand.eu.

This collaboration between Grunewald and Resand is a testament to Resand's ability to deliver significant economic and environmental benefits to their clients. Resand offers its customers clean sand as a service, reducing the need for virgin sand and contributing to sustainable production at Grunewald.

In addition to its focus on the European foundry market, Resand aims to expand its business outside Europe. This collaboration is a step towards achieving strong growth and making a positive impact on the global foundry industry.
