Compagnie Financière Tradition Boosts Profits Amid Market Volatility

In the first half of 2025, Compagnie Financière Tradition, a leading global brokerage firm, has reported impressive financial results, capitalising on the elevated market volatility caused by ongoing uncertainty surrounding monetary policy, new trade barriers, and heightened geopolitical tensions.

The company's consolidated revenue for the period reached CHF 632.1 million, marking a 12.3% increase at constant exchange rates. This growth was supported by strong performances across various segments, with the inter-dealer broking (IDB) business revenue amounting to CHF 607.6 million, a 11.2% growth.

One of the standout performers within the company was Gaitame, Compagnie Financière Tradition's Japanese online retail forex trading business. Gaitame generated CHF 24.5 million in revenue for the first half of 2025, representing a yearly increase of 47.6%. This growth was even more remarkable considering that in 2024, Gaitame's annual business increased by 22.6%.

The region where Gaitame recorded particularly high growth was Japan. The revenue increase was attributed to a 47.6% growth at constant exchange rates and the integration of the Money Partners Group, which Compagnie Financière Tradition acquired in December 2024.

The company's strong financial performance was reflected in its bottom line. Consolidated net profit for the first half of 2025 was CHF 74 million, an increase of 20.4% compared to CHF 63.9 million in the first half of 2024. The Group share of net profit also saw a similar increase, rising to CHF 70.2 million, up 20.4% from CHF 60 million in 2024.

Looking ahead, Compagnie Financière Tradition plans to continue its targeted investments in developing a hybrid brokerage solution and expanding its data and analytics services. The company expects to pursue a "primarily organic growth trajectory" by leveraging its global presence and the depth of its brokerage offering across various asset classes.

However, no updates were provided regarding Capital.com seeking a Japan license or any changes in Compagnie Financière Tradition's IDB business or Gaitame in the provided paragraphs.

The operating margin for Compagnie Financière Tradition improved to 16.4% for the first half of 2025, up from 13.8% in the corresponding period of the previous year. This improvement was reflected in the consolidated operating profit, which reached CHF 103.5 million, a 32.5% increase.

As the company continues to grow and adapt to market conditions, its activity shows no signs of slowing down. Compagnie Financière Tradition's activity continued its growth momentum at the beginning of the second half of 2025. The company will undoubtedly continue to be a significant player in the global brokerage industry.
