India Gears Up for Asia Cup 2025 with Intense Training Sessions

The Indian cricket team, under the guidance of head coach Gautam Gambhir, is ready to make a strong start in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. The tournament, scheduled to begin on Tuesday, will see India facing off against some tough competitors in the UAE, Pakistan, and Oman.

The Men in Blue's campaign kicks off on September 10 against the UAE in Dubai. A highly anticipated clash with Pakistan is scheduled for September 14, also in Dubai. The final group stage fixture will be against Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

Gambhir's aggressive imprint on the team is evident as the squad prepares for the tournament. During an intense training session in Dubai on Sunday, players were observed working on power shots during batting drills, while bowlers pushed hard with consistent intensity.

In the video shared on the team's official X handle, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Axar, and Shubman Gill were among the batters who attacked the bowlers with freedom. Spin options Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep, and Axar had extended spells during the session.

Gambhir was seen in animated discussions with Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel, indicating a focus on fine-tuning the team's strategies. The captain for the Asia Cup 2025 is Suryakumar Yadav, with Shubman Gill as the vice-captain.

The Asia Cup 2025 could potentially feature three meetings between India and Pakistan, adding an extra layer of excitement to the tournament. The team's determination to start the campaign on a high is evident, as they push themselves to the limit in their training sessions.
