In the world of streaming, there's always something new and exciting to watch. Here's a roundup of some of the top-performing films on Netflix recently, showcasing the diversity of content available.

Two highly anticipated films, Kajol's Maa and Fahadh Faasil's Maareesan, made their Netflix debuts on August 22. Both films have been garnering attention, with Maareesan ranking among the top ten most-watched films in 12 countries, and Maa making its mark in 20 countries.

Maareesan, directed by Sudheesh Sankar, also stars Renuka, Sithara, and Saravana Subbiah. The film recorded 2.6 million views and 6.6 million watch hours in its second week on Netflix, and managed to slide one position down to rank as the seventh most-watched non-English film worldwide.

Maa, on the other hand, is the most-watched film in four countries: Mauritius, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Pakistan. It also registered an impressive 3.7 million views and 8.7 million watch hours in its second week on Netflix, securing the fourth position among the most-watched non-English films worldwide.

Another notable film is Tehran, directed by Arun Gopalan, featuring Neeru Bajwa, Manushi Chhillar, and Madhurima Tuli apart from John Abraham. Tehran debuted on Netflix on August 26 and registered 2.2 million views and 4.2 million watch-hours in just four days, placing it as the eighth most-watched film worldwide.

Meanwhile, Kingdom: Samrajya, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, featuring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, has been making waves. The Telugu film landed on Netflix on August 29 and garnered 2.9 million views and 7.9 million watch-hours in just three days, ranking among the top ten most-watched films in 13 countries.

Kingdom: Samrajya currently holds the sixth position among the most-watched non-English films across the globe this week. Interestingly, it's not the only Indian film on the list. Maareesan and Maa also made it to the top ten, with Maa securing the fourth position.

Last but not least, Anurag Basu's Metro In Dino is a romantic drama and a spiritual sequel to Basu's 2007 film, Life In A Metro. The film, which was also released on Netflix recently, recorded 1.2 million views and 3.2 million watch-hours in just three days since its digital premiere. Metro In Dino is the tenth most-watched non-English film on Netflix for the week ending August 31.

Additionally, Metro In Dino also ranked among the top ten most-watched films in five countries across the globe, including India, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Maldives.
