Indian immigrant in the UAE, triumphs from teenager to Abu Dhabi Big Ticket victor at the age of 43: A tale of an expat's success story
In an exciting turn of events, Jogendra Jangir, a 43-year-old production manager, has won Dh140,000 in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket raffle. This lucky win marks Jogendra's first time participating in the Big Ticket raffle, a fact that he learned about five years ago online.
Hailing from Rajasthan, India, Jogendra moved to the UAE at the age of 17 and has been a resident of Dubai for 26 years. His journey in the UAE has been a successful one, as he is now one of the four Indian expat winners in Series 278 of The Big Win Contest, with all four winners taking home a combined Dh500,000.
Upon learning he was one of the four winners selected to visit the Big Ticket office and play The Big Win Contest, Jogendra was ecstatic. He made his way to Big Ticket's studio to play for the maximum prize of Dh150,000. However, after his initial win of Dh140,000, he declined the offer to spin the wheel again for Dh150,000.
Jogendra plans to donate 10% of his win to charity, with the remaining amount to be used to repay his home loan and cover other expenses. He is still discussing with his family about how to spend the rest of his winnings.
Despite his recent win, Jogendra has no plans to stop purchasing Big Ticket raffle tickets in the future. His visit to Big Ticket's studio was a special moment for him, one that he will remember for a long time.
It's a testament to Jogendra's perseverance and luck that he has managed to achieve such a significant win. His story serves as an inspiration to many, reminding us that luck can indeed smile upon us when we least expect it.
