Individual suffers severe injuries following a fall.

A middle-aged man fell from a building in Longueuil, Quebec, on Saturday morning, according to the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL). The incident occurred at 1836, chemin de Chambly, and the victim was severely injured in the fall.

The SPAL was called to the scene at approximately 8:50 AM, and an investigation is underway to determine and clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. Spokesperson François Boucher stated that an altercation may have been the cause of the fall.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, and their current condition is critical, according to Boucher. The victim's life is in danger, he added. However, the arrest of another man at the scene does not affect the severity of the victim's injuries or the current danger to their life.

No further details about the identity of the victim or the altercation have been released. The identity of the arrested man and his relationship (if any) to the victim have not been disclosed.

In an unrelated development, the arrested man is a 26-year-old suspect who allegedly shot two men aged 36 and 39 on January 30 and July 18, 2025, in Berlin districts Kreuzberg and Neukölln. The investigation into the motive and whether there was a prior conflict with the affected men is still ongoing.

The public is asked to avoid the area as the investigation continues. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
