Industrial fire at Beuel's industrial facility triggers massive emergency response by Bonn's fire department.
In the heart of Bonn's Beuel district, a significant incident unfolded at a food processing facility on a specific date. The fire, which started in the exhaust system of an in-house roastery on the facility's roof, caused a major stir.
The firefighting efforts were intense, with around 80 personnel from the command service, fire stations 1 and 2 of the professional fire brigade, and the volunteer fire departments Beuel, Dransdorf, Geislar, Rheindorf, Lannesdorf, and Endenich involved in the operation. The vacant fire stations were staffed by the volunteer fire departments Buschdorf, Holtorf, Holzlar, Oberkassel, and Kessenich for potential parallel incidents during the operation.
The prevailing temperatures and humid weather made the operation particularly personnel-intensive. Fire-fighting measures were carried out both from inside the building and from outside using two turntable ladders. Motor-driven angle grinders were used to forcibly open the pipes belonging to the exhaust system.
Smoke was visible upon the arrival of the first emergency services, which were alerted at 11:18 AM. The alarm was escalated again at 12:04 PM to ensure sufficient availability of breathing apparatus carriers. Two drones of the fire service provided valuable aerial images for the incident command.
The emergency services were further supported by the police and the local authority of the federal city of Bonn. As a precaution, nearby residents were informed and asked to close their windows due to the heavy smoke caused by the fire.
Sadly, two firefighters had to be treated by the rescue service and taken to the hospital due to circulatory problems during the operation.

The Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe provided catering for the emergency services during the operation. The current search results do not provide specific information about the leaders of the emergency operations center, fire stations 1 and 2, or the volunteer fire departments in Beuel, Dransdorf, Geislar, Rheindorf, Lannesdorf, and Endenich involved in the specific fire incident.
