Industrial fire contained in Arnsberg-Herdringen area; firefighters successfully halted its advancement.

A fire broke out in an industrial plant located in the Herdringen neighbourhood of Arnsberg today, prompting a swift response from local emergency services.

According to reports, the fire was first reported at 14:56, and fire departments from Neheim, Arnsberg, Herdringen, Holzen, and the rescue service from Hagelstein were all on the scene. A total of around 24 personnel were involved in the firefighting effort.

Upon arrival, ventilation measures were initiated using two fans to clear the production hall of smoke. A team in breathing apparatus entered the production hall to fight the fire and extinguish the affected filter system. After ventilation was complete, burnt filter residues were removed from the system.

The swift and professional response of the rescue teams prevented the spread of the fire, and "fire under control" was reported at 15:24. The damage caused by the fire was minimized due to the quick response.

Unfortunately, a company representative incurred a light injury by inhaling smoke. The rescue service found no immediate health concerns for the injured representative.
