Informed individual will be made aware of the following details:
On Tuesday, September 9, the traffic light system replacement work at the intersection of B224, Prosperstraße, and Arenbergstraße was successfully completed. The affected intersection, a busy multi-lane junction, had been undergoing the necessary repairs since the morning.
During the work, lanes in both directions of the B224 were closed, and pedestrian crossings were unavailable. This necessitated detours for pedestrians and cyclists to cross the B224, which were signposted for clear navigation.
The traffic lights were out of operation during this period, and the speed limit on the B224 was reduced to 30 km/h. From September 10 to 16, one lane in the direction of Gladbeck/A2 will remain closed at the intersection, with a speed limit of 30 km/h still in effect.
However, the good news is that from September 10, the lane closures at the intersection will be lifted, and the traffic light system will function normally. Pedestrian crossings at the intersection will also be available again, making it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to navigate the area.
The responsibility for repairing the damaged traffic light system typically lies with the local municipal traffic or road authority managing that road and intersection. It is worth noting that the traffic light system on the A2 road was not affected by this work.
We advise all road users to exercise caution and adhere to the speed limits in the area during the recovery period. The local authorities appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.
